North Oxfordshire Model Aircraft Club is a welcoming and well equipped model flying club based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Our site has two large, well maintained grass patches, a small stretch of tarmac and a clubhouse equipped with charging facilities for electric fliers. With the availability of on site charging and the advantages of quiet, clean flying, many of our members fly electric models, however, some still fly IC as long as they do not exceed the prescribed BMFA noise limit.

We have members with a wide range of experience in model flying, and enthusiastically welcome new members; both to the club and the hobby. Some of us prefer to fly “foamies”, others ARTF kits, whilst some enjoy scratch building from balsa and kits.

We hold an annual club build for members to try their hand at building or to put their own take on a set of plans.

Our field occupies the site of the former RAF Chipping Norton, a Royal Air Force training station for pilots between 1940 and 1953. Some of the relics of the site’s history can still be seen.
